Scholarship Benefits

  • Up to $5000 for tuition, room and board, or other educational expenses.
  • Four-day Udall Scholars Orientation in Tucson, Arizona to meet with other Scholars, elected officials, and other environmental and tribal leaders. All Scholars are required to attend this event in August. Travel, lodging, and meals will be provided by the Foundation.
  • Access to an active and growing alumni network of environmental, Native American health and tribal policy professionals.

Honorable Mentions have the opportunity to join the alumni listserv.

    Faculty representatives can register students for the online application beginning October 1

  • March 3, 2015
    Deadline to register students for the online application

  • March 4, 2015
    Online applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. MST (Note: institutional deadlines may be earlier. Please check with your faculty representative.)

  • April 1
    Faculty reps notified of their applicants' status. Faculty reps can notify Scholars and HMs as soon as they like

  • April 6
    Scholars are notified of application status directly

  • April 15
    Deadline for Foundation receipt of Scholar Award Reply form

  • May 1
    Udall Scholars announced on website

  • May 15
    Deadline for Foundation receipt of Scholar Travel Reply form
