Ryan K. Walter
Cornell University

Ryan is a junior and double major in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Cornell University, focusing on environmental fluid dynamics. Currently, his research centers on tracking the carcinogenic compound vinyl chloride in water distribution systems. He is a member of AguaClara, a group that aims at designing water treatment plants for communities in Honduras, and ultimately plans on becoming a professor and studying the fate and transport of pollutants in the environment. In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer, lacrosse, and swimming in the beautiful gorges of Ithaca, of course, when they are not covered in snow.
