Emily B. Stiever
Grinnell College

Emily Stiever, an independent major in Political Ecology at Grinnell College, loves wind turbines. She worked with campus administrators to secure a commitment to construct turbines to power campus and implement energy efficiency and waste reductions strategies. Passionate about finding unique solutions to environmental problems, Emily plans to pursue a graduate degree in business and make a career using business as a tool to promote environmental responsibility. She also loves downhill skiing, backpacking and, being from Minnesota, pretty much any activity involving a lake.

How can you describe a weekend of student leaders from across the U.S. with an intense passion to change the world? The Orientation was a phenomenal experience to meet and build connections that I'm sure will last a lifetime.
