Jessie C. Dyer

Jessie is an Environmental Science and Management major with an emphasis on soil science at the University of Rhode Island. Jessie has worked for the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) since 2005 as a Soil Conservationist Trainee. At the NRCS she has assisted farmers in better utilizing their natural resources as well as creating wetlands restoration management plans. In her community she is actively involved in environmental education by coaching an Envirothon team from a local high school. Also, Jessie has conducted research in Costa Rica on the impact of shade grown coffee on mammalian biodiversity.
