Melissa M. Firor
Lissa grew up in small-town Cove, Oregon, and has been passionate about environmental issues for as long as she can remember. An environmental science student at the University of Idaho, she currently works as Communications Coordinator for the UI Sustainability Center. She is also active in the Stateline Wetland Revitalization Project, where she writes grant proposals to fund the transformation of this small, constructed wetland into an environmental education center and community wildlife park. When she isn’t outside climbing trees or playing in the dirt, Lissa enjoys breakfast foods, fine art, and a good novel now and then.

How can you describe a weekend of student leaders from across the U.S. with an intense passion to change the world? The Orientation was a phenomenal experience to meet and build connections that I'm sure will last a lifetime.
