Rachel R. Butler
Rachel Butler is a junior at the University of Wisconsin majoring in Biological Aspects of Conservation and Political Science. She is an active figure on campus, having served as the State Board Chair for the Wisconsin Student Public Interest Research Group (WISPIRG), the coordinator for Associated Students of Madison’s Student Rights Campaign, and a leader in the campus-wide Vote Coalition. After having spent seven months in Europe, Rachel aspires to come back to Madison to register lots of young voters for the 2008 election, to continue fighting global warming, and eventually to work as an environmental lawyer or policy-maker.

How can you describe a weekend of student leaders from across the U.S. with an intense passion to change the world? The Orientation was a phenomenal experience to meet and build connections that I'm sure will last a lifetime.
