Andrew S. Veysey
Drew is a second-year Environmental Studies and Political Science double major. He has worked tirelessly on American University's campus promoting conservation and sustainability through a new green purchasing guideline, the American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment, and co-founding the DC Youth Environmental Alliance. Back home in Iowa he has fought on the side of family farmers against factory farming and taken measures to stop climate change. While Drew spends most of his days saving humanity from its own excesses, he has made time to run on American University's Track Team, go fly-fishing, listen to reggae music, and make hilarious comedy with his friends.

How can you describe a weekend of student leaders from across the U.S. with an intense passion to change the world? The Orientation was a phenomenal experience to meet and build connections that I'm sure will last a lifetime.
