Jessie A. Comba
Cornell University

Jessie, a Natural Resources major, does landscape photomonitoring, researches children's environmental attitudes and behaviors, and helps teach kids wilderness survival. She co-created a local food cookbook calendar, raising $5000+ to fund sustainability projects, and serves on Cornell Dining's Local Foods Advisory Council. Confident that elementary school curricula should incorporate local natural history, Jessie plans to get kids outside as a fundamental part of childhood education and health. Belizean manatees, Costa Rican sea turtles, and her mom influenced her inner marine naturalist. She loves kayaking, snorkeling and live music, but her passions are salty fresh water swimming, tide pools, writing haikus, rain listening, and laughing.
