Alison K. Cohen
Brown University

Alison is a double major at Brown University in Community Health and Education. She is interested in understanding how environmental injustices affect health and educational inequities in urban communities, and how to engage in participatory research and policy development with these communities. She plans on pursuing a career in community-based environmental epidemiology. In 2007, she received a Royce summer research fellowship from Brown to explore how to effectively communicate environmental justice and environmental health risks in the realms of community health (with the NRDC) and education (with Summerbridge San Francisco). In her own urban environment, Alison enjoys walking the hidden staircases of San Francisco.
