Meredith J. DeBoom
A farm girl whose first job was pulling milkweeds, Meredith is a political science and international studies major with a minor in economics and a love for environmental and energy policy. She has developed her policymaking passion as an EPA Climate Change Division intern, a foreign policy student in Russia, and a teaching assistant for a student organization that performs public policy research for the Iowa Legislature. When not serving as a student government senator or leading her sorority, Meredith enjoys making extensive life to-do lists, exploring, cleaning up filthy rivers, and sharing her love for renewable energy with anyone within earshot.

How can you describe a weekend of student leaders from across the U.S. with an intense passion to change the world? The Orientation was a phenomenal experience to meet and build connections that I'm sure will last a lifetime.
