Carlyn E. Johnson
Allegheny College

Carlyn is a junior at Allegheny College, where she has focused her studies on renewable energy technology through her double-major in physics and environmental studies. Carlyn has helped install solar and wind energy technologies while interning for Nexamp, Inc., studied sustainability and alternative energy in Ghana, and co-founded Allegheny’s Ecological Representatives Program, which promotes sustainable practices on campus through peer motivation. Last summer, she was in Israel working on peace-building efforts through environmental leadership with the Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation at the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies. Carlyn is a two-time Udall Scholar who loves evening runs and hitting the slopes in winter.
