Geoffrey is a junior from the University of Washington where he studies civil & environmental engineering and international studies. He plans to pursue a career in international sustainable development. While studying abroad in Chengdu, China he built a clean water system to supply 36 homes and a primary school with freshwater. Geoff was also in Chengdu when the 8.0 earthquake struck and founded China Earthquake Aid to help with the relief effort. He has been researching international green energy policies focusing on biofuels in the developing world and recently returned from a research trip to Guatemala. Geoff enjoys cycling, backpacking and rock climbing in the Pacific Northwest.
