Emily M. Duma
Emily is a junior political science and international studies major who is also pursuing certificates in environmental studies and African studies. She loves everything about food and hopes to spend her life improving the sustainability of food systems both in the US and abroad. Currently in a year-long study abroad program in Kenya conducting research on food security, Emily plans to spend the summer traveling before coming home to her beloved Madison. At UW Madison, Emily is very involved with the student garden as well as the campus Slow Foods chapter, and will continue to promote sustainable eating in the upcoming year.

How can you describe a weekend of student leaders from across the U.S. with an intense passion to change the world? The Orientation was a phenomenal experience to meet and build connections that I'm sure will last a lifetime.
