Anna E. Normand
Louisiana State University & Agricultural & Mechanical College

Anna is a junior at Louisiana State University majoring in chemistry with an environmental concentration. Because of her interest in coastal protection and restoration, she founded Louisiana Marsh University, a service-learning experience for LSU undergrads to plant beach grasses in Grand Isle, Louisiana. Anna participated in Acorns of Hope, joining cyclists to plant live oak saplings while biking across Louisiana’s coastline. This summer, she will conduct field research in the Mississippi River delta as a part of the University of Minnesota’s REU on river and coastal restoration. She also loves outdoor adventure and baking for her friends.
