J. Sarah Sorenson

Sarah is a rising senior at Colby College in Waterville, Maine, where she is double majoring in environmental policy and international studies. Sarah is very active on campus as a leader of the student-run Environmental Coalition as well as the Environmental Advisory Group, which works to improve Colby's sustainability. She is especially interested in water rights issues and is currently leading a campaign working to dramatically reduce bottled water use on her college’s campus. Sarah just completed a study abroad experience in Nepal where she had the opportunity to travel in Bhutan, trek to Everest Base Camp, and study sustainable development in the Sagarmatha National Park.
