Daniel S. Growald
Daniel is a senior at Princeton University majoring in ecology and evolutionary biology. He fell in love with the natural world at an early age, and developed a fascination with how ecosystem dynamics can be used to inform the functioning of human society. As Chair of Princeton's student climate change group and co-founder of the Princeton Social Entrepreneurship Initiative, he has focused on growing student engagement on campus. His current interests are in climate policy, strategic approaches to environmental issues, and the intersection of climate change, ecosystems, and human wellbeing. Daniel is an avid backpacker and an artisan blacksmith.

How can you describe a weekend of student leaders from across the U.S. with an intense passion to change the world? The Orientation was a phenomenal experience to meet and build connections that I'm sure will last a lifetime.
