Daniel S. Growald
Danny is a rising senior at Princeton University majoring in ecology and evolutionary biology. Growing up in Shelburne, Vermont, he fell in love with the natural world at an early age – and never fell out. As Chair (now Vice-Chair) of the climate action group Princeton SURGE and co-founder of Princeton's nascent Social Entrepreneurship Initiative, he has focused on growing student engagement on campus. His current interests are in climate policy, strategic approaches to environmental issues, and the intersection of climate change, ecosystems, and human wellbeing. Danny is an avid backpacker, rock climber, cheddar cheese eater, poet, and an artisan blacksmith.
