Theresa S. Stratmann
University of Georgia

Theresa is an ecology major and math minor at the University of Georgia. She is interested in integrating mathematics and fieldwork to further conservation biology, especially in herpetology. Currently she is conducting a mark/recapture study and constructing a species distribution model to inform survey and monitoring techniques for the threatened bog turtle. In the past she has researched extinction through laboratory experiments with Daphina. As co-president of the UGA Herpetological Society, Theresa leads educational outreach events for university classes, local schools, and community events. When at home in South Carolina, she enjoys volunteering for the herpetology department at Riverbanks Zoo.
