Irene Liang
University of Arizona

Irene is pursuing a BS in soil, water, and environmental science with a microbiology focus and chemistry minor at the University of Arizona. She spent a summer in Namibia, Africa evaluating the biogeochemical properties of the landscape, and now works on a NASA and USDA funded project to encourage civic and environmental engagement among youth through technology. Irene is especially passionate about ensuring access to the most basic needs: potable water and safe environmental living conditions. She aspires to address these needs through technological expertise, societal engagement, and policy improvement. For fun, she enjoys swing dancing and sunshine.
