Malavika Rajeev

Malavika is pursuing a dual bachelor’s/master’s degree in ecology. She serves as co-president of the Ecology Club and UGArden, the campus community garden. Through her involvement in UGArden, she helped to organize the 2011 Southeast Youth Food Activism Summit, and is now part of the student organization that evolved from the summit, Real Food UGA. Her ecological interest is in infectious diseases, and she has worked on research involving Monarch butterflies, Grant's gazelle, and the domestic horse. Malavika plans to focus her master’s project on disease as it relates to land use in livestock populations in Central Kenya.
