Charlotte is an anthropology and sociology major at Pacific University, with minors in indigenous studies, Spanish, and dance. She is from Seaside, Oregon with family from the Puyallup Tribe of Indians as well as the Clatsop-Nehalem Confederated Tribes. Charlotte is a council member and the Canoe Family captain for the Clatsop-Nehalem located in northwest Oregon. She is passionate about working towards her tribe's federal recognition as well as for the rights of indigenous people throughout the world. The traditional culture of the northwest has always held an important place in her life, and Charlotte hopes to continue serving indigenous people on the local, national and international stage.
