Eric J. Rodriguez
Eric Rodriguez is an honor student on the dean’s list at American University in Washington, DC. Eric is currently a Department of Justice Tribal Meth Fellow, collaborating on community-orientated policing strategies for tribal communities. Eric was formerly a tribal police officer and volunteer firefighter/EMT. He has assisted the U.S. Census Bureau with statistics on indigenous people. Eric hopes to attend law school and serve as a tribal attorney. Ultimately, he would like to have a leading role in developing policies to improve the lives of native people through stronger tribal governance. Eric is Gros Ventre/ Assiniboine/ Yakama from the Fort Belknap Indian Community.

How can you describe a weekend of student leaders from across the U.S. with an intense passion to change the world? The Orientation was a phenomenal experience to meet and build connections that I'm sure will last a lifetime.
