Madeline R. Holtzman
Madeline Holtzman is double majoring in community development and Spanish and is passionate about urban agriculture and social justice. Through community gardens, she intends to pursue the dual aims of sustainable food systems and the reduction of food poverty. She works as a site director with the Nashville Mobile Market, a mobile grocery store that combats food deserts, and will intern with The Nashville Food Project her senior year. She has participated in a research project to test the viability of biogas production from food waste. Madeline actively participates in Vanderbilt's environmental club and her favorite pastime is exploring farmer’s markets.

How can you describe a weekend of student leaders from across the U.S. with an intense passion to change the world? The Orientation was a phenomenal experience to meet and build connections that I'm sure will last a lifetime.
