Felicia H. Barnes
Felicia Barnes is a junior Biology and Political Science major at the University of South Dakota, where she is involved in a wide array of environmental endeavors, such as researching endocrine disruptors, helping USD become carbon-neutral, and fighting to prevent an oil refinery from being built less than nine miles from USD. Many of Felicia's environmental projects relate to her work as part of Students Advocating Grassroots Environmentalism (SAGE), which she co-founded and is now co-president of. Felicia also enjoys playing violin in the USD Symphony Orchestra and coaching Lincoln-Douglas debate at Vermillion High School. Felicia aims to become an environmental scientist involved in shaping national environmental policy.

How can you describe a weekend of student leaders from across the U.S. with an intense passion to change the world? The Orientation was a phenomenal experience to meet and build connections that I'm sure will last a lifetime.
