Rebecca Guiao is a senior at Western Washington University, where she is designing her own concentration in Law, Diversity and Justice with a focus on Environmental Law, Policy and Science. She is interested in gaining knowledge in the law, policy and science behind environmental issues through her college education. Her career goal is to become an environmental lawyer representing disenfranchised communities of color affected by environmental racism, and helping empower those communities by involving members directly in the issues that affect them. She enjoys being outside, observing the natural world, especially through birding and field journaling.
