Today I saw a really cool monument, but I forgot what it's called!

I wish I could come here again next year and have more fun like I did this time

Did you know that plants you find in the desert are prickly because they have to have protection? Be careful and don't try to touch them

I know that the Grand Canyon is the biggest canyon in Arizona, and I also know that I'm going there tomorrow!

Each participant keeps a journal during the trip. Journaling gives the kids a chance to document their favorite moments, record the plants and animals they see, and reflect on what they've learned. The photographs were taken by Parks in Focus participants from 2004 through 2007. All participants were between 11 and 13 years old.
