Talia Schmitt is an environmental community health major at the College of William & Mary. Her passions lie in environmental education and food sustainability. She co-founded an environmental education program, Eco-Schools Leadership Initiative (ESLI) where high school and college students educate elementary school students about the environment. On campus, Talia works as a dining sustainability intern and is involved in a project bringing produce from a local farm back to the college’s cafeteria. She has worked for Climate One, NatureBridge, Fairfax County Science Department and Environmental Film Festivals around the country. Talia has published journalism articles on food sustainability through the Pulitzer Center and her eco-blog.
