Grace F. Fuchs
Grace is a rising junior pursuing an environmental studies degree through the Honors Tutorial College at Ohio University. Working as a Voinovich Undergraduate Research Scholar through a university-community partnership, she has engaged with anti-fracking grassroots groups to develop and deploy technology to continuously monitor water quality impairments from waste injection wells in Appalachian Ohio. As the president of the Ohio University Sierra Student Coalition, she has helped lead the group’s divestment campaign on campus. She has also fostered a greater concern for local environmental justice issues in the student body by networking with other organizations to host the first environmental justice activism networking summit at her campus.
