Maizy T. Ludden
Maizy is a sophomore at Syracuse University whose interests stubbornly refuse to fit into one field of study: she is majoring in biology and geography with minors in writing and food studies. She is passionate about linking these disciplines to understand the relationship between humans and the environment, especially in the context of climate change. Active in biology and social science research, she hopes to find synergy between food security, indigenous knowledge, and biodiversity conservation. When she is not juggling her role as president of Students for Sustainability with her classwork and research, she loves hiking, embarking on impromptu adventures, and using art and writing to inspire environmental activism.
