Rose M. Albert

Rose is a chemistry major in the Science and Technology Honors Program at the University of Alabama-Birmingham and is also pursuing her master’s degree in public health. She aspires to become an environmental scientist in either the nonprofit or government sector so she can advocate for ecosystems and communities impacted by climate change. As president of Green Initiative, Rose has led numerous campus outreach events such as waste audits, school-wide clothing exchanges, and gardening days. Through her community science internship at Gasp, a local nonprofit advocating for clean air, Rose researches social vulnerability and environmental risk associated with urban air pollution. In her free time, she enjoys rock climbing, cutting hair, and knitting.
