Kelsey is an environmental studies and political science major passionate about political and legal pathways to climate justice. After her undergraduate studies, she plans on pursuing a law degree and a career in environmental law and policy. Kelsey is currently starting an undergraduate honors thesis on the history of climate activism in the United States. Much of her academic work informs, and is in turn informed by, her work in the community. She is a dedicated organizer for climate justice on campus with Renew Wellesley’s campaign for carbon neutrality and fossil fuel divestment; and as a volunteer leader with Wellesley’s Environmental Action organization. Kelsey also greatly enjoys the outdoors, especially hiking in the many forests of Oregon, where she is originally from.
