Madelyn A. Hair

Madelyn is studying biology at the University of Richmond. She is passionate about researching marine conservation and implementing practical solutions that simultaneously protect our oceans and empower coastal communities to responsibly manage their marine resources. She has conducted studies on the effectiveness of marine protection policies in the Turks and Caicos Islands and water quality of freshwater run-off into the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. She is currently studying the effects of climate change on salamander reproduction in Virginia and will present her results at the National Wildlife Society convention. In her spare time Madelyn loves hiking, scuba diving, and writing.
