Faith Itta is pursuing her social work degree with a minor in public health at the University of Alaska Anchorage. She currently serves as the secretary for the UAA’s Social Work Coalition. Faith works with rural and underserved populations with a focus on health disparities. Her undergraduate research project explores the correlates of African American infant mortality. Her long-term goal is to update the Indian Child Welfare Act and lead child welfare improvements in Alaska. In her free time, Faith enjoys playing with her kids and taking advantage of everything Alaska has to offer.
