Tribal Public Policy
Dustin is a junior at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities double majoring in Ojibwe language and linguistics. He serves as the Ojibwe language tutor within the Circle of Indigenous Nations student services office at the university. Dustin, a member of the Lac Courte Oreilles Band of Lake Superior Ojibwe, participates in several student groups geared towards Indigenous awareness on campus: Indigenous Language Revitalizers, Bayaaga’adowejig Imaa Gabe-gikendaasoowigamigong (B.I.G.), and the American Indian Student Cultural Center (A.I.S.C.C.). Dustin also participates in a yearly Ojibwe language immersion cohort: Ojibwemotaadidaa Omaa Gidakiiminaang (O.O.G.). In his free time, Dustin enjoys spending time with friends and family, the outdoors, and attending ceremonies.
