Abigail K. Hickman, Cherokee Nation
Tribal Public Policy
Abigail is a junior at Columbia University studying anthropology and Native American and Indigenous studies. As a citizen of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma, she is passionate about working within Tribal government and protecting Cherokee sovereignty at the Nation stage. She is the community and political chair for the Columbia University Native American Council and a student worker in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. In her spare time, she works on her senior thesis project, which concerns the creation and importance of Native American science fiction.
