Udall Foundation Announces 2024 Udall Scholars

The Morris K. Udall and Stewart L. Udall Foundation (Udall Foundation) is pleased to announce that 55 students from 50 colleges and universities have been selected as 2024 Udall Scholars. An 18-member independent review committee selected this year's group of Udall Scholars on the basis of commitment to careers in the environment, Tribal public policy, or Native health care; leadership potential; record of public service; and academic achievement. The review committee also awarded 55 Honorable Mentions.

U.S. Congress Reauthorizes Udall Foundation through Fiscal Year 2029

On Friday, March 22, 2024, and Saturday, March 23, 2024, the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate, respectively, passed the second and final fiscal year (FY) 2024 appropriations package, H.R. 2882, titled the “Further Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2024.” Included in that appropriations package was the “Udall Foundation Reauthorization Act of 2024,” which reauthorized the Morris K. Udall and Stewart L. Udall Foundation (Udall Foundation) through FY 2029.

Udall Foundation Announces 2024 Native American Congressional Interns

The Morris K. Udall and Stewart L. Udall Foundation (Udall Foundation) and the Native Nations Institute for Leadership, Management, and Policy (NNI), a program of the Udall Center for Studies in Public Policy at The University of Arizona, are pleased to announce the selection of the 2024 Native American Congressional Interns. The newest class of Udall Interns comprises 12 students representing 9 Tribes and 11 universities from around the country. The Udall Interns were selected on the basis of academic achievement, leadership, and demonstrated commitment to careers in Tribal public policy. From 1996 through 2023, 318 students from 138 Tribes have participated in the Internship.
