Who We Are - Staff & Volunteers

Pat Mount,
Tucson Volunteer

Born in Indiana, Pat has lived in Ohio (twice), New Jersey, Nebraska, Michigan, Illinois, California, and Arizona (twice). She retired in 2013 from a professional career as a registered dietitian and a middle school math and science teacher. During 39 years of marriage, Pat and her husband traveled to all 50 states and completed a 10 km walk in each. In 2014, she earned the "Lower 48 Award" from the National Park Travelers Club by visiting all the National Park Service sites (375 at that time) in the lower 48 states. To date, she has visited 391 of the 417 NPS sites around the country. She stays young at heart by completing Junior Ranger, and when available, Senior Ranger programs at each park she visits.
