Stephanie Lucero

Senior Program Manager

Stephanie Lucero joined the Morris K. Udall and Stewart L. Udall Foundation (Udall Foundation) as a Senior Program Manager for the John S. McCain III National Center for Environmental Conflict Resolution’s (National Center) Native American and Alaskan Native Service Area in October 2018. She works on projects involving cultural and natural resources in the fields of environmental compliance and public lands management. She is also the lead trainer for the National Center’s Collaboration with Native Nations and Tribal Consultation training. Ms. Lucero has over 18 years of experience in facilitation, mediation, policy development, cross-cultural collaboration, training, and capacity building. She has established herself by convening meaningful discussions among diverse participants, including Native Nations, environmental justice communities, agriculturalists, industrialists, and Federal and State agencies. Stephanie has worked nationally with Native Nations in the fields of capacity building and cooperative resources management. A significant portion of her career has dealt with natural and cultural resources issues involving Native Nations in California.

Stephanie earned a Master of Laws in Indigenous Peoples Law and Policy from the University of Arizona. She also holds a Juris Doctorate from UC Berkeley’s School of Law, with a certificate in Environmental Law, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Native American Studies from UC Berkeley.
