Krti Tallam is a sophomore at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she studies natural resources and environmental sciences. Krti is deeply interested in using her ecology and data-sciences education to be effective with wildlife conservation solutions, learning to do more with less natural habitat. As president of the University Vegetarians student organization, she works with University Dining to facilitate environmental sustainability through plant-based foods for students. Krti also works with a conservation organization in India, studying elephant population patterns and human-wildlife-conflict mitigation. Her hobbies include long-distance running, drumming, singing, piano, reading, and volunteering at animal shelters.
