Jacob A. Freedman
Jacob Freedman is passionate about place-based environmental advocacy and helping all people connect with nature around them—no matter where they live. As an environmental studies and geography major at Middlebury College in Vermont, Jacob co-founded WildMidd, an organization that partners Middlebury College students with local K-12 youth to learn about and protect the local natural world. Out of WildMidd came the "Wild Hometown Movement," a growing network of eight place-based and youth-powered environmental groups across the world, that emphasizes collaboration and local environmental advocacy opportunities for young people. Jacob loves discussing the future of his hometown (Worcester, Massachusetts) and looking for really big trees in the forest.
