Kendra M. Held

Kendra is a geography and environmental studies major who is passionate about environmental justice. She organized a day of activism at Gustavus that began with a climate action march and concluded with invitations to faculty and President’s Cabinet meetings. As a sustainability intern, Kendra collaborated with other students to develop key performance indicators to measure Gustavus’ strategic goal to “implement environmental stewardship and sustainability principles and practices across the college.” Kendra has helped student organizations support resistance efforts against the Enbridge Line 3 pipeline in northern Minnesota. She aspires to guide communities toward their climate mitigation goals by championing energy conservation strategies in urban planning and transportation.
