Alexios N. Smith

Alexios is a first-generation college student majoring in forestry with a minor in ecological restoration. Born and raised in Kealakekua, Hawai'i, Alexios is the descendant of hard working cattle ranchers and coffee farmers. She is determined to become a researcher focused on the impact human activity has on native plant ecosystems and to repopulate the forests of her home with indigenous flora. With strong ties to her cultural heritage and natural leadership ability, Alexios is the vice president of the University of Montana Pacific Islanders Club, as well as part of the leadership efforts for the Society of American Foresters Student Chapter. Her favorite activities include spending time with family and swimming.
