Quinn C. Smith Jr., Chickasaw Nation
Tribal Public Policy
Quinn is a citizen of the Chickasaw Nation, majoring in public policy and history with a documentary studies certificate. As a documentarian, Quinn strives to shatter stereotypes of Native people by documenting their long-silenced and shared humanity. Quinn works with the Duke Gardens' Equity Through Stories Program to transform a space with 500,000+ annual visitors to spotlight Indigenous truths and to forge reciprocal relationships. Quinn has previously worked with the Indian Arts and Crafts Board, and he is a current intern at the All My Relations Podcast. In addition, Quinn is documenting the healing power of Chickashshanompa, and his Nation’s efforts to revitalize their language.
