Tori, class of 2024, is majoring in African and African American studies and environmental analysis. They want to empower BIPOC communities to implement their own climate change mitigation tactics and create more equitable green energy governance programs internationally. Their undergraduate thesis is applying queer and Black theoretical frameworks to farming practices in Ghana. Last summer, Tori worked with Black urban farmers in St. Louis to build out free legal resources and indirectly help increase the resilience of local food systems. In their free time, Tori enjoys backpacking, surfing, and reading books.
