Atticus C. Cummings
Montana State University
Environment
Atticus is passionate about biomimicry and the intersection of human and non-human systems. Growing up as a homeschooler in the wild places of Montana, Atticus was inspired by non-human environments to design healthier spaces for people. This led him to pursue a directed interdisciplinary studies degree with focus areas in architecture, chemical, biological engineering, and sociology. Atticus is involved with divestment efforts at Montana State University and pursues research in biomimetic building materials that sequester waste plastic and carbon. He hopes to help facilitate a just transition from a fossil fuel-based world to a more healthy and regenerative one by taking inspiration from nature to create a more symbiotic future.
