Nic was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico and is a junior studying political science and history at the University of New Mexico. He is passionate about equitable resource management and is working as a UNM Water Resources Fellow to create a public-facing, interactive model of riparian ecosystem challenges in the Middle Rio Grande. Nic has previously interned in the office of U.S. Senator Ben Ray Luján and the Albuquerque Office of Civil Rights, where he helped connect constituents with government resources and learned about current environmental issues. After graduation, Nic hopes to earn his juris doctorate so he can facilitate water rights adjudication as a water lawyer.
