Kadin R. Mills, Keweenaw Bay Indian Community
Northwestern University
Tribal Public Policy
Kadin is a first descendant of the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community, studying journalism and Native American studies at Northwestern University. He is passionate about social and climate justice and is particularly interested in literature, storytelling and culture as tools to further these causes. On campus, Kadin writes for the Daily Northwestern and serves as the Head of Communications for the Native American and Indigenous Student Alliance. In his spare time, he loves engaging with the arts, from signing musical theatre and playing the saxophone to sewing and beadwork; he is always looking for a new hobby. Kadin is accompanied by his pooch, Rita, wherever possible.
