Environment

TreVaughn is a biology major who is passionate about incorporating the ocean into the environmental framework. His goals are to increase the number of Black scientists in the marine science field and to change the current separation between ocean and environmental justice. The idea that “we all live downstream” is something he wants to bring into the conversation to emphasize accountability and community care. He currently works in a research lab and at the campus community garden. He is also a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Hollings Scholar, an artist, beekeeper, and skater.
