Jessalyn is a Washington State University sophomore majoring in biology (pre-med) and minoring in human development. She aspires to attend medical school to become either a pediatrician or a family physician with plans to work in rural Alaska. She is passionate about providing representation and support services to the Alaskan Native culture. Over the years, Jessalyn has worked extensively to provide healthy activities, food accessibility, and mental health services to Native youth in her community. She is part of the National Society of Leadership and Success, serves as an advocate for a suicide prevention campaign, and volunteers at her campus’ childcare center. In her free time, Jessalyn enjoys being outdoors and staying active.
