Tarlynn N. Tone-Pah-Hote, Kiowa Indian Tribe of Oklahoma
University of Minnesota-Morris
Tarlynn is a proud member of the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma, and Oneida from Six Nations, Ontario, Canada. She is a junior at the University of Minnesota, Morris, majoring in biology. As an aspiring physician, she is dedicated to improving the health of American Indian communities through her intended profession, forensic pathology. She hopes to help bridge the gap between Native communities by providing culturally sensitive forensic care and by conducting research regarding cardiovascular disease, an issue that hinders the well-being of American Indian people at a high percentage. She would like one day to work collaboratively with other health professionals to advance preventative medicine for Native communities.
