Angela L. Tsao
University of Georgia
Angela is studying artificial intelligence to democratize research in computational sustainability. She is committed to open data initiatives for enhanced public-academic sustainability partnerships, working with Georgia Sea Grant and NOAA to improve utilization of government climate data. Her research incorporates emerging technology—from augmented reality to genetic algorithms to cloud computing—to reimagine the way that society can interact with environmental data. Angela hopes to merge academia and activism in informed politics. As Financialization Coordinator for the Roosevelt National Network, she supports grassroots campus research and advocacy efforts. At her own campus, she interns with UGA’s sustainability office and creates conversation about environmental research as Editor-in-Chief of the Georgia Political Review.
